Queen of Hearts Blogger Brunch

Unique Finds

If you are from the Atlanta area, or a visitor, most likely you know about a local store called “Queen of Hearts” Antiques and Interiors.  Over the weekend I joined a group of Atlanta bloggers before opening hours for a lovely brunch there. We also had the opportunity to spend some time meeting the owner, the dealers, and had free time to shop.  I have to tell you there is something pretty exciting about shopping when a store is closed!

Living in Georgia for 6 years, I heard so much about the Queen of Hearts, but never had the opportunity to make it there.  (It is over an hour away from where I live).  One of my dear friends that lives in Minnesota said I had to check it out – that I would love it there.  Boy did I!  Shopping in this store is like being a kid in a candy store.  It has it all, and not to mention, everyone is so friendly!

Upon arriving we were treated to a brunch and given “Queen of Hearts” Swag Bags with goodies from the dealers.

Queen of Hearts

I love how they personalized all of the bags with a painted initial letter.  It truly made me feel extra special that they would take the time to do that for us.

Before peeking inside the Alpharetta store, I want to tell you a little history about Queen of Hearts.  Stacey Anderson and her husband, Jim, currently own three stores and opened doors to their first store in Alpharetta in 1998.  They wanted to create a one-stop shop for those wanting to update their interiors with unique finds including antiques and new on-trend items for the home.  They have a very friendly staff and it seems that Stacey and Jim’s “hands on approach” really creates a desirable place to work, shop, and be a merchant dealer.  It seemed to me as though they are a family and treat their customers as though they are part of the family too.  I noticed this immediately… they are a close knit group.

Every aisle in the store is uniquely named after streets in Charleston, South Carolina.  As we peruse down Broad Street and over to  Bull Street let’s take a peek here first, shall we?…

I am always blown away by the creativity of the dealers and

how they merchandise their spaces.

The dealer for this space has two booths, Sassy & StashDon’t you just love the “Stash” sign?

Here’s another creative greeting from Under The Garden Gate.

I had the cutest picture of the dealer and her beautiful pillows, however, her eyes were closed in the picture.  Bummer!

I sure know I wouldn’t want my picture shown with my eyes closed.  🙂

I am going to show you more pictures to give you an idea of what you will find

when you step inside.

This is just a glimpse of what I saw!  I am telling you there is talented dealer after dealer underneath one roof.

I tried to give you links so you can visit the dealers Facebook pages or sites that I mentioned here.  For those I do not have links for, you will have to visit the Alpharetta, Queen of Hearts, to see it live.  You won’t be disappointed.

Currently Queen of Hearts is located in Alpharetta, Marietta, and Buford.  I am excited to check out the other locations as soon as I am able.

I want to thank Queen of Hearts for inviting me to this special event, and the sweet dealers that provided the thoughtful swag bags.

Have you been to Queen of Hearts?

If so, what was your favorite purchase or purchases?

I purchased and came home with a vintage camera – my collection has begun.

Enjoy!

Angie

Note: *I was not compensated for this post or for attending the blogger event.  I was given a swag bag with a gift certificate and goodies as a gift.*

How fun! So sorry I missed this event. I’ll definitely have to check out this store! It’s not far from my house. I need to go snatch up a few of those vintage cameras for sure! See you soon.

Erin, we missed you! You definitely will have to go check it out. The vintage cameras are so cool and there were so many of them at a great price. Let me know which one you end up snatching.

Phooey, wish I could have gone. I was supposed to be at the High Point furniture market this weekend, but ended up with a migraine and had to cancel. So I missed both events! 😛

Oh Sheila, that is such a bummer! I know they are going to have more events, so hopefully you can make the next one.

      Cherilyn-
I am so glad someone blogged about your pillows as they are beautiful. I was so bummed when I saw the picture, typically I take more than one photo, but this time I didn’t. Thank you so much for the letter, I love it and know exactly where I am going to put it. 🙂 It was great meeting you and I hope to see you again when I visit the store.

I live close to the one in Buford and go at least once per week just to browse! I will have to try the one in Alpharetta one day. 🙂

This was my first time to The Queen of Hearts, but now I want to go visit all of them. It sounds like they are all phenomenal and have their own style of unique finds. I wish I was closer, visiting once a week would be a dream.

When Kristin from The Hunted Interior instagrammed about this brunch, I was inspired to drag my husband out for some J. Christopher’s and furniture shopping. I bought a blue dresser from Sassy & Stash (And made a note to make my own stuffed mannequin- so genius) and my husband picked out this amazingly old chippy black and cream dresser. I have never seen a man so in love with a piece of furniture. Thanks for spreading the word and reminding us locals about the BEST gallery of bloggy-style home goods!!

I am so glad you made a fun morning to “The Queen” with your husband! It’s a treasure trove! It sounds like you found some amazing pieces, and your hubby must have a great sense of style. Kristin is a doll, I met her for the first time at the brunch, and her blog is AMAZING! Thank you for stopping by, and keep me posted on your treasured finds!
