A Simple Christmas Holiday Tour

***A Simple Christmas Holiday Tour***

Are you like me?

Every Halloween I think about Christmas.

It seems once October hits,

Christmas thoughts are dancing in my head.

I want to go over the top.

Deck the halls…

Bake the cookies…

and

enjoy!

Every. Single. Moment.

This year,  I decided to keep it simple.

So I can enjoy it.

If you are visiting from the Hometalk.com and CountryLiving.com Blog hop – hello!

I am so glad you stopped by.

We’ve been a little busy around here updating a home that needs a little TLC.

It’s been a bit of a challenge and the challenges continue.

With that said, it makes sense to share what a “paired down” Christmas looks like.

It’s simple, yet  splashes of Christmas fill the house.

Let’s start with a little piece I brought with me from Atlanta.

This piece still stands to be a statement in my hallway, and quite fun to decorate for Christmas.

A pop of red always lends itself to a festive Christmas spirit.

The kitchen table is very basic.

This box is really an easy way to have a centerpiece

for every holiday.

 Adding reindeer, candles, garland,

and DIY moss trees give a festive feel while keeping it simple.

The place settings are simply adorned with

napkins wrapped with Christmas red and white twine and a pine-cone ornament.

Beyond the table, you can see a sneak peek of the

fireplace mantel.

The reclaimed beam and garland remind me

of my child hood years living in chilly Minnesota.

The fuzzy reindeer pillow also

adds a little texture against the blue herringbone chairs

and leaves me dreaming of snow and White Christmas’.

Instead, I’ll just sit here and read about a White Christmas.

The magnolia wreath was easy to make,

and it actually made it unscathed during the move from Atlanta to Arizona.

Are you loving plaid as much as I am this season?

The pillows are my favorite.

they give a splash of Christmas color to several areas of the house.

Oh, and if you can’t find me reading a book…

you may find me under the mistletoe.

Or possibly,

outside by the pool.

Adding a simple wreath and pillows keep it light and fun.

The pyramid was from our wedding as a centerpiece over the cake.

(So glad it can be reused)

When the sun sets,

everything reflects and sparkles beautifully.

Let’s head back inside to take a peek at the tree.

Our tree is filled with love.

It’s full of memories and the ornaments are always a reminder of places,

people, and times we’ve shared together.

I wouldn’t trade our “special” tree for anything.

Christmas helps us remember those that are no longer with us.

My grandpa and grandma gave this angel to me when I was about ten years old.

It’s still a reminder that someone is watching over me.

I hope your Christmas home is filled with love.

Simple or extravagant.

It’s all beautiful.

May your holidays be filled with joy, great memories – old and new, and

many blessings.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Enjoy!

Every. Single. Moment.
